Castle Hughes is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Perth, WA, known for her captivating vocals and heartfelt lyrics. Bursting onto the music scene in 2021 at just 16 years old with her debut single Moving On, she quickly established herself as a rising star. Teen Breathe caught up with Castle to chat about life, music, and staying true to yourself.
WHEN DID YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH MUSIC?
I think I’ve always been in love with music in some way. Growing up, I was constantly singing, writing little melodies, and getting lost in songs that made me feel something. But the moment I truly realised I wanted to create music myself was when I started writing my own songs – it felt like the most natural way to express what I couldn’t always put into words.
WHAT (OR WHO) INSPIRES YOU?
