Chocolate & hazelnut cookies

Warm, gooey and delightfully nutty, these chocolate and hazelnut cookies are a comforting way to pause, bake and savour a mindful moment – one bite at a time.

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 160°C fan forced.
  2. Start by whisking the eggs, butter, and honey in a medium-sized bowl until they’re well combined.
  3. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and gently fold.
  4. Add hazelnuts and chocolate (if using) and gently fold into the mixture.
  5. Line an oven tray with baking paper and spoon on 12 portions of the mixture, about a tablespoon each, evenly spaced apart.
  6. Bake for 10–15 minutes. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before eating.
